Telehealth online video consultations & classes
"CALL THE MIDWIFE"
"Little Miracles" offers convenient virtual classes and consultations.
Your safety and privacy during these online services is very important to me. Therefore all online classes and group meetings are provided via ZOOM meeting calls using a password protected video call. During the virtual classes or consultations, parents receive guidance, advice, and support in the comfort of their homes.
The following services are available to via Telehealth and ZOOM meeting calls:

Antenatal Education
Postnatal Consultation
In my virtual antenatal classes, I offer the same antenatal programs as I do in my general group classes or one-to-one antenatal classes, except we will be talking to each other over a secure online video connection. I will share a slide show and videos with you which you can follow on your own tablet or computer. While we run through the program you will get the opportunity to ask questions as we go along.
I will email you back-up notes and links to useful videos and articles. You will also be entitled to an additional, 15min. postnatal support call when your baby is born.

During a virtual postnatal consultation I will:
Answer your questions in relation to your postnatal recovery and your newborn baby
provide you with baby care demonstrations (example: baby bath, nappy change, feeding, winding and settling your baby)
supervise you caring or feeding your baby and support & advice you while doing so
listen to your story and discuss your concerns if present
advice you on postnatal exercises
You will receive a follow-up call 2 days after the consultation to see how you are getting on and if you have any questions. You will also receive an email with links to useful videos and further information or care plan if needed.
Lactation Consultation
During a virtual lactation consultation we will:
Address any breastfeeding challenges that you may be experiencing
Observe a nursing session
Assess breastfeeding position, technique and/or use of equipment or supplies
Provide advice and tips to help breastfeeding work well for you and your baby
You will receive a follow-up call 2 days after the consultation to see how you are getting on and if you have any questions. You will also receive an email with links to useful videos and further information or care plan if needed.
HOW DOES TELEHEALTH WITH "LITTLE MIRACLES" ACTUALLY WORK?
Contact me by phone or click on the "Book Now" button below and choose your class or appointment. Find an available time slot in my booking calendar and follow the online booking instructions. Once I see your booking request, I will contact you by phone call within 24h so we can have a chat and find out how I can help you best and if I can provide you with sufficient online support for your query. Obviously, a virtual consultation will be limited in the level of care and observations compared to an in-person visit. Example: I will not be able to weigh your baby or check if your baby has a tongue-tie. However, sometimes a virtual class or consultation may be the best or only option available to you.
A booking for a consultation or private one-to-one antenatal class will need to be confirmed by my phonecall after your online booking request. Bookings for group classes do not need confirmation by phone call.
What is required for a Telehealth online video class or consultation?
You will need:

a laptop, computer or tablet with a video camera and microphone

a high-speed internet connection

sufficient light source in your room
-
a fully charged battery on the device(s) you are using
for consultations:

2nd person to hold the camera while you feed or care for your baby
Costs: €60 for a 1-hour consultation
